Repair Café

A Repair Café is a meeting between citizens who are determined not to throw away their objects anymore without trying to repair them! A Repair Café, is you, us, getting together for a workshop to repair together.

What is at the heart of the Repair Café movement is that communities are at the forefront of change. Whanaungatanga, building communities, is the driving factor. Mōhiotanga is key, alongside values such as 'tuakana' and 'tēina' -- in which those with experience, support others to have the skills and ability to repair, reuse and recycle. It is about cultivating relationships and respecting Te Mana.
